no grip for shizit

whats the best way to "hookup" using stock gears and non posi rearend? ill take off from the line and just spin, and hitting the bottle makes me peel out even worse. any ideas?

A posi or limited slip center section would be the best option. Even a sticky (one) in an open rear probably wouldn't do as good as a posi or limited slip center section.

Short of that, its just a matter of ROLLING into the throttle, not overpowering the tire & not STABBING it to the floor.

ya it suxs cant grip for nuttin. what year camaro comes with the posi rearend? whats a good one but not real expensive?

i got a 97 rear end and its full posi no grip launch issues here everyone takes off spinning from a stop light i just launch

to the op, a posi rear end is your best first step, then some sticky tires

i didnt install it myself i had my mechanic do it since he already had the car on the lift for the tranny rebuild but its pretty much swap and play although your going to need brakes from the 4th gen becuase the 3rds wont fit

I don't quite understand you......

4th gen rears are a DIRECT bolt-in, other than the E-brake cables. Don't hafta do anything to the brakes, master cylinder, booster....Nothing.

im talking calipers and rotors wont fit u need them from a 4th gen idk about e-brake since myn isnt hooked up everything else will be fine

OK, but I thought the PBR calipers & rotors were the same, from 89-97?

Look at the center section cover.....9 bolt heads = a 9-bolt &, you guessed it....10 bolt heads = a 10-bolt. Only 2 options there were (except the RARE Dana 44 under the Firehawks)

i found my rpo codes under the consile lid, it has gu5, 3.23 gear but cant tell if its posi or not

Look at your skid marks, if there's two of 'em it's a posi :P
