Does anyone know how to pick out pistons?
And I thought picking out a cam was hard!! There is almost no info on the web that guides me to a decision. I need help!!
383 build, 64cc heads, needs to run on pump gas so 10 or under compression, right. I will be running 150 shot of nos from time to time so will go with forged.
So what do I do? Just buy pistons with 10 or under compression? What is up with the skirts? Are Keith Black Good pistons?

I would venture to say that any brand name aftermarket piston will give you want you want.
Pick your desired compression ratio and work the formula to arrive at a suitable valve relief/piston dish volume.
Check out this link to Federal Mogul. You can browse through the listing and get a general idea what pistons give approximately what compression ratio. You can then use the standard comp ratio calculators to zero in on exactly what will work.
