Re: cold start injector
first things first.
remove the electrical connector and test it with a voltmeter to make sure you're getting 12 volts to it.
if you are then you probably need a new injector if you aren't then we can go from there

Re: cold start injector
i checked for voltage as soon as i turend the key on cold and got none i also checked the injector and it was good 4 ohms resistance and also ran 12v to it and it shot out fuel.
Re: cold start injector
IIRC there's a switch to activate the Cold Start Injector , near the Coolant Sensor , in the intake mainfold.

Re: cold start injector
Just bought mine from Bennett Auto, cost was 88 Bucks. The price actually went down from what it was a month ago. They wanted 109. Thats still a bit hi imo for something that tells the 9th injector to pulse.

Re: cold start injector
yea the only place i can find one so far is napa for $70 plus tax.But I was going to as a favor if you dont mind so i can maybe save 80 bucks. If you can easily get to the sensor could you remove it put an ohm meter on it and set it to 200 and put it in a pan of boiling water and see how long it takes to change the reading.when its cold mine is reading 33.4 and when i put it in boiling water it takes about 28 to 30 seconds to change to around 66.3 or so.i noticed on the sensor its a bosch and it says "35 degrees c 8 sec" so im assuming it should only take about 8 sec to change insted of 30.If you could check that new one id be very greatful but if its a bitch to get to i understand but try it on the old one if you still got it and see what it says. Thanks alot man....ohh yea i keep saying sensor but its a switch lol

Re: cold start injector
Alright, as soon as I have a chance I will do that for you. Just got my mini starter for my car to solve that damn heat stroke problem ive been having. Have to change the starter, cts and cold start switch.

Re: cold start injector
If it sprayed fuel when powered direct then, it's the crank fuse, or cold start temperature switch. That and the injector are the only things in the cold start circuit.
