Re: Motor Mount Issues

Replaced motor mounts with poly just yesterday. Use a swivel joint and a 20> cm extension. If the joint is not stiff enough to stay still, use some tape. You can reach the nuts through the gap near front A-Arm mount with a socket. Fix the socket from the bottom, turn from the top. They're all 15 mm in my car. When installing back, again use a tape to fix the washer and nut to each other and to the socket. Be careful not to drop them into the K-member frame, might be hard to get them back.

Re: Motor Mount Issues

Also, don't panic if the motor doesn't fall back flush with the new mounts. Even 1 mm is enough for it to remain stuck on one side, polyurethane is a pretty strong material and just the friction with the bracket can hold the engine up. Just raise and drop the engine a few times (slowly of course) and lightly hammer the bracket on the side that's stuck. It'll fall easily with the weight of the engine helping.
