my coolant resevoir was ****in boiling for like five mins is this a thermostat issue were i just replace the thermostat im thinking of doing flush and fill but idk wat to do

the motors not overheating sometimes it will smoke outta nowere like while im driving from under the hood but by the time i stop the smoke has stopped when im stopped at the light my oil pressure is really low and goes up when i press the gas to the halfway mark and about 10mins into driving it the service engine light comes on


thats all the probs left and a new serpentine belt that i need to get i fixed almost everything except for this knocking noise i put synthetic oil and fuel injector cleaner in it almost took the sound away but i can still hear the knocking just not as loud as it was the knocking only happens when i press the gas pedal when i let go the knockin will stop

 

Well for starters when you see bubleing in the coolent resevior while the cars running i think 1 of 2 things. Blown head gasket or improper mix of coolent and antifreeze. The knocking might be your bottom end it would explain the low oil pressure. One thing at a time though. Is the coolent bubbleing after you shut the car off? or only while its running.

 

well today when it happened it was right after i shut the car off i heard it rumbling then i popped the hood and noticed it this hasnt happend b4 im gonna flush and fill tomorrow see if its just old or bad antifreeze the knocking and oil pressure is wat i would like to get rid of though im trying to sell this car and have already scared away to people cause they couldnt identify the knocking

Well about the only way to fix the knock is to probably make repairs to the motor but seeing as how your trying to sell the car i doubt thats what you want to do. You could probably get it to quiet down a great bit by useing a really heavy weight oil but thats kinda sleezy.
