Car: 1992 RS
Engine: 305 TBI
Transmission: IROC 700R4

Ok so i have a 92 rs with a 305 and 700r4. The transmission recently broke on me so I picked up a 700r4 out of an IROC. I believe it was an 88. Anyway after i installed it i noticed the connector for the speedo generator on the tail end is different so i just didnt plug it in cause my speedo didnt work before anyway. The car drives great but it pulled a code 24. Is this because i didnt plug in the sensor? is it ok to keep driving? How could i fix this problem? Thanks for the help in advance!

The speedo in the 92 is electronic; the 88 would be cable driven. Sounds like you need a new VSS, one for a 92. Remove old, replaced with new and plug in. You may be able to find what you need from the following company:
