Has this happened to anyone else? I was driving around out in the country (not above 90mph) and when I was going 60 on the way home, the car just died and wouldn't start again. I couldn't figure out what was wrong on the side of the road, so i towed it to the shop. My distributor gear was stripped. the teeth were all broken off and had sharp jagged spots where they used to be.

It is fixed now. Has a new distributor and the car is running good again. Has this happend to any other members?
