1992 Vortec heads compatibility with 9370010 block?

Hey guys, I got a call from a guy today about my ad on Kijiji for some chevy 350 heads. He said he got a pair with an engine he bought for this jet boat that he can't use, he wants $50 for them as he is cleaning out his shed. Would these be worth putting on? He thinks they're from a 1992 5.7 Truck. Would that be L31? I'm new to this whole 350 Chevy Smallblock thing...

Now Ford 429/460 heads, I know..

No, L31 started in 1996. 1992 350 heads would be LO5, the dreaded "swirl ports". That's why they're only $50.

Makes sense, it seemed way too cheap.

So would 90's heads fit my block if I did get a set, or no?

yes they will bolt on, but i wouldn't suggest any head from the 90's except for the l31 vortecs from 97-99. it's easy to figure out which ones they are because they only have 8 bolts instead of 12 for the intake, and the 8 are standing straight up and down on the intake
