kick out or not

was just looking at the moroso homepage and was wondering if i should get a kick out pan or a deep sump. just wanted to know which fits the stock k-member the best. would really like to have the 7 qt pan but was afraid that the kick out's sump is to long and that the deep sump is to low to the ground?

any info on this question would be great

Re: kick out or not

I run a deep sump 7 quart on my BBC that's sitting lower than stock and don't have any ground clearance issues. I run a tubular k-member that allowed me to lower the engine but even when I ran a factory k-member, the deep sump still had no problems.

Kickout pans sometimes have problems with header clearance but it depends on the style of headers. SBC usually have lots of room.

Re: kick out or not

well i have hedman hedders long tubes on the motor for now and there is alot of room in between the headers. my fitment question was really about the nose to tale difference between the deep sump and kick out pan. i don't recall the exact deminsions but the difference was more than an inch and i just wondered if anyone had run it to any problems with the sump of a kick out pan hitting the k-member.

but thank you for your input, if i ever try to stuff a big block into my car you'll hear alot from me!

the actual demintion is 1/2 inch in length so i don't think it should bw a problem
