Did the 305's all have a rev limiter?
I was out playing w/ my iroc z which has a lg4. I hit the redline and went a little past it according to the factory tach. I let up on the gas before any rev limiter took over. I just want to know if there is a rev lim, and at what rpm does it work?

When I first got mine, the rev limiter was the 4 flat lobes on the camshaft
Would hardly go past 3,000 rpm.

ECM limits them to 10.XXX RPM but AFAIK valve spring will limit your engine on usage if you will go over 7,5k RPM

7000 revs seems close to the self destruct level. I don't think this engine has one. I thought anything past redline is bad news.
