Need help on what to buy, RS or Z-28??
I want to get a 92 camaro but not sure to grab a RS or a Z-28. I like the low profile spoiler on the RS but it comes with 305 V8. On the other hand a Z-28 with the 5.7 V8 would give me a lot of power now and a 350 engine to work on in the future. I also like the idea that in 1992 only 5,200 out of 70,000 cars produced were Z-28's.
Ultimately down the road I would like to do a 383 engine build. I do not know if there are many mechanical differences between RS and Z-28 that would make the Z-28 easier and more cost effective to upgrade (brakes, suspension, rear end, tranny, engine accessories). Is it worth it to get a Z-28 since it would have disc brakes all around and better gears, etc... even if they need to be rebuilt. I am ok with an automatic transmission so I would keep if it would stand up to a 383.
I found this 92 RS polo green with gold heritage bading. I've always liked the polo green and gold colors. Car looks in good shape but I think the seller is asking too much at $6700. Maybe $4500-$5000? http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false
I've been looking around for used 92 cars and have seen alot of Z-28's with around 65,000 miles at $5,500. I'm thinking it would be better to grab a 5.7 Z-28 and go modify it from there. Any comments appreciated.

I'm not a fan of the 305. Go for the 350 and don't look back.
