87 IROC Tranny lines
I need to replace my tranny lines due to a leak. There is rust forming on the lines and I would like to know where to get replacement stock parts? Or better yet..stainless steel lines. I was told by the oil change shop that they cannot be found since they aren't made anymore. Would I need to have them custom made?

Try Fine Lines or Classic Tube. There never were direct replacements available from GM, they were always serviced with bulk tubing bent to fit.

What I did was to buy plenty of steel braided hose line. I cut the factory lines about 6" from the tranny fittings and started the braided lines there with a clamp. At the front end, I installed a tranny cooler and ran the braided lines straight to the cooler. The cooler is mounted in front of the radiator.

Do you have the exact website for this? As for Classic Tubes.. I have to call in since their website is under maintenance. Thread Starter

I have to ask though. What size are my factory transmission lines? I need to know this for when I order from Totally Stainless since they have it in stock. Classic Tubes will take several weeks to make.

I replaced mine with braided hoses and barb fittings. Makes it easy to route and is shielded from my LT headers.

I appreciate some of the responses, however I really need to know what size are these transmission lines? So many views and not many responded. I am ready to place an order but need to know the size. Thanks.

Re: 87 IROC Tranny lines
I beleive these were the lines I bought. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-230606/
I bought two lengths and got the barb fittings to match the threads on the trans at the local parts store. I used the wide screw clamps with no leaks. You can buy the AN fittings or the push lock fiittings but they will cost more $$$.
The fittings I used were like these.http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TRD-2269/
Im not sure on the fitting size on the 700r4 or the radiator. It is either3/8 or 5/16.
You might even get by with 4ft lenghts. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MRG-S46/

5/16"
A tape measure would have saved you a few days of waiting.
