Vacuum Line mess-82 TA
I have a 82 LG4 carb engine in my 86. I need to route all of the vacuum lines properly. Right now it is a mess. I just removed all of the emissions stuff.
I have the diagram of how the hoses should be routed. However I need to identify certain parts so I can route. The diagram still does not really show me what these look like;
EGR Solenoid
EGR
EFE
EFE TVS
Purge TVS
Air MGMT Valve
Check Valve
If you have pics of these can you post them? Thanks....

Re: Vacuum Line mess-82 TA
I'm with him here. I have a 90 formula (TPI) and need to know what the EGR Solenoid looks like and where I can pick up a new one.

I have the 1982 Camaro Factory Assembly manual. I will try to scan and post some diagrams for the 82 LG4 engine. There probably are 10 -15 diagrams, as different systems and hoses are shown in different area of the book.
The EGR value should mount on a bracket that is mounted to the intake on the passenger side, between the EGR valve and the Carb.
I think the hose in your third picture is for the EFE valve. The EFE mounts on the exhaust pipe just below where the exhaust manifold connects on the passenger side. There is supposed to be a metal pipe from the EFE up to the area where that hose is. The digrams may help to clear some of this up.
The local Camaro club is having a picnic tommrow, so I will be busy with that fucntion all day. I will try to get some of the diagrams scanned and posted Sunday evening.

I am not sure how many posts this will take. I mad pdf files because they were much smaller in size than scanning the diagrams.
Note that most of the options are noted like this....
&C60 = Air Conditioning
&K35 = Cruise Control
&MV9 = Auto Transmition
&MX1 = Some pieces or mounting brackets required with the MV9
&NM8 = Emission Controls, Recalibrated ( I am not sure what this means, as one or two of the diagrams also has an &NM4 which will only give an error on the RPO decoder)
I suggest you print all the pdf files out. They are all 8.5 by 11 and usually there are only two pages per file. After printing them out, study them with the connection diagram you posted and your car. Hopefully you will be able to figure it out.
