Bad Gas
Bad Gas
My nephew is looking at a 1985 camera fuel injected, supposedly 22K original miles, car dose look clean, both in and under, car has sat for almost a year and when I tried to started it, it fired one time and would not start. Car will crank, but dose smell of vanished gas, what is the best way to get clean fuel in the tank and clean line. I will most likely siphon gas but was looking for any help that may make things easier. Thanks, Scott

Leave The Varnishing For The Furniture
Once parts are varnished they should to be disassembled and scrubbed.
I had a crewmember tell me he’s had luck with immersing parts overnight in carb cleaner with his resto deals.
The varnished fuel is stubborn and clogs passages and jets.
Once the inside of your fuel tank becomes varnished you have a problem.
The varnished areas can dry up.
The dried varnish turns into flakes and these flakes will clog your fuel filter and/or pump.
Happy Racing!
If People Drove Any Slower They’d Be Going BackwardsFog lights are not driving lights. They look dorky. Turn em off slow pokes.
How bout those dorks too scared to drive without headlights on in the daytime!
