Chipped piston skirt. Why did it run perfectly fine?

I just pulled the 350 out of my other camaro. Wanna build a 388. I took it apart and found a very slightly chipped piston skirt. Was wondering why it ran perfect with no vibration problems or anything?

The chip in the piston skirt wasn't enough weight to throw the engine's balance off significantly. Good thing it was just the skirt and not a shattered piston

I've seen that a lot, with no complaints from the vehicle owner. As mentioned its not a lot of weight loss so most dont notice it.
