oil leak from back of head?

Ok so I have had this oil leak for a while now, not major but enough to get my attention. I have searched the forum about similar oil leaks but did not come up with a solution to my particular problem. Quick background, i have a 305 tbi with 113 heads that were just completely redone. The oil leak comes from the area on the back side of the passenger head. There is no oil from the valve cover or from the back of the intake that I have seen or felt. I was under there yesterday after I replaced the torque converter and cleaned up around the oily area and it looked to be coming from the back of the head where the head meets the block. There is no oil above the mating surface as the head itself is oil free. My starter has oil all over it as well. I plan to really clean up all the oil and drive it a bit and take another look, but it seems unlikely that oil would actually leak from the headgasket, am I wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: oil leak from back of head?

Well I took a quick look again where the oil was most prominent, ie around the starter, and i tried to trace where the oil was leaking from but I noticed that there was oil along the perimeter of the head where the block mates to the head. Again it is not significant, but i can see oil along the length of the head on the passenger side. I also know there is a minor leak from the china wall in the front, but very minor. It is kind of driving my a little crazy. As stated above the head itself is clean, it is below the head that the oil is visible.
