squealing noise going with the revs after build
just got my car put back together and running pretty good but there is a slight squealing noise coming from the motor it seems to be going with the rpm of the motor its a 1st gen sbc with hyd roller cam hydraulic roller lifters jesel shaft rockers 7.200 pushrods just kinda wondering what to suspect first and see what you guys think thanks for the help

Check to make sure your belt is tensioned. My '84 T/A has V belts, and you have the serpentine (I assume) but mine was squealing with the RPM's too. I though I'd tensioned the alternator belt properly but hadn't.

When ever i have had this problem it's been a loose belt or the PVC system wasn't vented properly (didn't have a intake filter installed). But the PVC problem was more cadent and less of a screeching squeal like the belt. Mine was a loose power steering belt.

i dont have a belt system right now i have an electric waterpump and no accesories right now so i can eliminate that. i have two oil breathers on because i dont have an oil cap for one side and i dont have an air filter on ill put the air filter on and see what that does but any other ideas?
