Weird POP!!! sound

I just installed a Edlebrock open element air filter on Wednesday and everything went great. I followed the Tech article to the T and have not thrown any codes and everything runs great. Well the other night I was driving up a hill and the engine was revving about 3k and kinda sputtered a little then popped. After it popped I gave it alot more gas and it responded fine. What would cause this? Is there a proper way to reset my ECM after installing the new filter other then just disconnecting the battery for 30 seconds?

Re: Weird POP!!! sound

Will that damage anything? and is there a way to remedy the problem? My car could probably use a good tune, but isn't too bad
