New crate engine Flexplate and starter question

Engine: Carbed 355 CR 9:1 xr276 cam
Transmission: 700r4 2600 stall
Axle/Gears: 3.42
New crate engine Flexplate and starter question
The crate engine that I am getting has a 168 tooth Flexplate. I wanted to change the flexplate to a 153 tooth flexplate due to clearance issues with my hedman shorty headers and y pipe. My question is can I just bolt on any 153 tooth flexplate for a 350 with a one piece rear main seal? I am also looking at the powermaster 9600 should that work with this comb(not sure how to tell if its inline or staggered)? If not could you suggest something that would work with this setup

from the info available, you can use that starter with either flexplate with that engine.
