Well running but a few questions...
This is my first post in awhile, but it is that time to get working on the car again. First I have a 83 z28 with a 350 and th350 tranny. I have been working on the car for awhile and just recently replaced timing cover, new front brakes, as well as many other things. Last summer when I drove the car which was once or twice I always had a problem getting my tranny to shift right. First it was just a hassle to get it into gear then when I would be driving it would seem to only shift at woot. While I was under the car a few weeks ago I realilzed that my vacuum conection to the modulator on my tranny was not hooked up DUH! LOL. any way I got that back on and got the car back together and running but when I wen't to shift it it would not go into any gear at all. I figured I was still having a vacuum problem somewhere so I am having a problem with where all of the vacuum lines go on the car. I have 2 ports on the manifold behind the carburator and also the 2 on the front of the carb (edelbrock 1406). Right now I have vacuum lines 1 from the distributor, 1 from the metal line from the tranny, 1 that hooks to a t that was with the tranny that I had hooked to the other side of the carb, and also I have a line coming from the black cylinder on the drivers side and a long line coming down from the front of the car to a small canister that I am not sure what for. I am not sure I have all these lines hooked up right so any help would be apreciated......
I can get pics if you need a better idea of what I got but I did unhook the vacuum to the tranny from the T and tried hooking it to one of the manifold ports and now it seems to shift into gear just fine but I can't test it on the road yet...

If no one knows (as it seems), you can get this information from a factory service manual set. You may be able to order all of the books as a set, but if they are separate, be aware that there may be a separate electrical and vacuum manual or emissions and fuel manual (as well as a general service manual). Order those here: http://www.helminc.com
Or if you can get the exact name of a factory service manual, you can search google.com for that name in quotes. Sometimes used bookstores will have them sitting around. (Sometimes for quite cheap!)

Re: Well running but a few questions...
try cutting and pasting this into a new post in the transmission section. Or better yet, go back to a 700R-4
