Spare parts? not good?

I have a few mysterious parts that where in my car after i cleaned it. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what they are.
Spare parts? not good?-100_0108.jpg

ok the first thing to the left i found under my hood not attached to anything sitting in the spot near where the battery sits front right of hood. The middle piece i found in my trunk. The last part was inside in my center console im pretty sure it was attached to another part in the next picture.

This picture is Fuse 20 (I believe its the fuse to the hatchback), a Grey plastic interior part i found in my trunk (not sure where it really goes), a random little lightbulb (looks like a blinker bulb), random black plastic piece, and that metal looking thing (i believe the last black plastic thing in the first picture was attached to this piece before i took it out of the bag i had all these spare parts it) Any ideas of what they are im pretty car illeterate?

Fuel Filter. Should be under the car under the rear hump. The other two things anybody's guess.

The grey round part is the cover for your hatch strut. The black thing is a nut for the tail lights. Other than the fuse & bulb I'm not sure what the other thing is.

Re: Spare parts? not good?

The first thing in pic #1 is a clamp for the fuel/brake lines. Clamps them to the inside of the frame rail as they run from the fuel tank to the engine bay. probably removed when the fuel filter was taken off/changed.

The last thing in the first pic I have no idea either.

The bulb is a standard 194 bulb, used in the side marker lights front and back.

The fuse you would have to check the fusebox and see where one is missing.

The last piece in the second pic looks like it might be a mount for the struts that hold the hatch up. Probably mounts behind the gray plastic hatch shock cover.

Re: Spare parts? not good?

My mechanics have done brake work to it so id HOPE theyd notice any missing clamps to the line. Im not so positive about the fuel filter, will this pieces abscene cause any problems in my car? How do i know if i have one even on there right now? My trunk doesnt close FULLY but will stay close i posted another thread in body for that thats probaly why all these trunk pieces where scattered all over the trunk when i bought the car the trunks plastic trim was off and i screwed it back on.

Re: Spare parts? not good?

Well, if the fuel filter was missing, your car wouldn't start and there'd be a big puddle of fuel on the ground. I'd imagine what is in your car is either a replacement someone bought, or an old one that was left there. (Save the small chance they simply cut out the fuel filter and bypassed it)

Ill have someone handy take a look at my fuel filter but if they bypassed it will my car run abnormaly or noticabley different? If it small chance is cut or bypassed should i have this one thrown back on?

Re: Spare parts? not good?

I'd say its extremly unlikely someone bypassed the fuel filter. It'd be stupid, costly and utterly pointless. However, if there is a spare fuel filter in the car, it might mean that someone intended to replace the one that's on there. I'd have someone check and see if yours needs replaced.

Re: Spare parts? not good?

Normally you wouldn't notice anything different with the way the car runs without a filter. Until you got some dirt through the lines to the engine at least. Might even run better if the filter was badly clogged. That one looks pretty clean/new so my guess is its a replacement that was bought and never installed. You should be able to see it under the car, behind the rear driver's side wheel.

As for the clamp, there are about 6 of them from front to back, and if they didn't have the car up on a lift and walk under it looking at them, they could easily miss one that wasn't there.

Your hatch not closing completely probably means the hatch motor needs adjusted. IIRC, they are adjustable up/down to adjust the closed height of the hatch. Having all the trunk panels removed also points to the hatch motor having been adjusted/fixed in the past and needing adjustment now.
