92 L78 head casting numbers
I need a set of heads L78 aluminum heads for a 92 I am putting back on the road. I want to say OEM on thiscar and I know they should be part number 10088113 and were the same as the zz4 but how do you decode the build date? I am use to month day year, but cannot figure out what I have seen available. Any help would be appreciated. Joe

L78?
Do you mean L98?
The Vette's '86-1/2-up used aluminum heads. But, not the f-bodies.

Re: 92 L78 head casting numbers
Sorry made a mistake, I meant L98. L78's are BB 375 hp heads and I have a set of those. It is clearly documented that the aluminum L98 (casting number 10088133) were left over from the 91 Vette, when they went to the LT1. These "extra" heads were then used on 1992 Z28 B4C cars (and I think T/A's) only with auto trans. I have a set on my 92 Z and it is a 32,000 mile original car. So if you have a set or know of a set for sale please let me know. Also still need to know how to read L98 casting numbers on the 113 heads.
