ok all i have a 350 4 bolt main with 8.6 to 1. i am building to swap out with my lg4 in my 82 se firebird, an was wondering should i use my lg4 heads for the added compression? and how much that would? be or just buy flat tops and run them with the 350 heads im kinda new to v8 building so be easy

get the casting numbers to figure out the size of the combustion chambers and then you can figure out your compression with the lg4 heads. adding compression doesnt add a lot of hp. y not keep lower compression and run cheaper gas?

the lg4 heads wont flow well being stock and no porting or polishing. so there wont be any real performance gain from adding them. if you got a set of aluminums that were ported and polished you would see better performance gains.

 

well what else if compression add some hp cause im 17 and still in school so just looking for cheaper ways for it i all ready have a daul plain intake and holley 600 carb how much power would a cam swap get me
