383 truck oil pump

I would like som opinions on what oil pump to use. Its a big truck, with an external oil coller by the radiator. Cooler was factory. The cooler lines are probally 2 feet long and at least 1/2 inch in diameter. My thought is a high volume pump to get oil moving thru system faster. I have read that standard is all i need. I dont know what the bearing tolerances are because I didnt put together the bottom end. Thank for the help.

PS: Machine shop supplied M-55 pump.

My last set up, I was having a problem getting oil to the top end. i broke 1 rocker arm and 1 rocker arm stud.
