Cannot find oil leak.

Ok so i have noticed that my car has been leaking oil. I plugged the 2 holes by the fuel pump housing, and that eliminated the ones at the front of the engine.

now im having trouble at the back. I replaced my valve cover gaskets with rubber ones and that seemed to stop the passenger side. I cant get the driver side to seal as of yesterday (i tighten it a little more today.) any ideas on how to seal them up? Im also running the metal bars that mount under the valve cover T-handles.

1 more thing, i used a high volume oil pump in my build and i was wondering how common is it for the pan seal to leak from that. I really dont think its the rear main b/c there isnt oil getting on my clutch or spraying across the ground. Its just kinda accumulating at the bottom of the pan/bellhousing.

Thanks, Chas

Re: Cannot find oil leak.

If you have stamped steel valve covers (like stock), your covers may have warped, causing your sealing problem. Not too much you can do besides getting new ones and putting on load spreaders like you're doing now.

As for the oil pan, I doubt the type of pump you use would affect sealing ability here. May be a dumb question, but have you checked the back of your intake manifold? Highly common area for leaks and very commonly misdiagnosed.

Re: Cannot find oil leak.

Could be the rear of the intake , distributor , oil pressure sending unit?
