Re: Engine Oil Cooler?

You can't get them anymore I think. Your 87 used a heat exchager w/ hose barbs. The 92 9only 3rd gen year) and 4th gen use one with a hook up style w/ aluminum lines very much like how the AC compressor lines are conencted, 2 lines into an 8 shaped block w/ a central locking bolt. This means, if you can get a new unit for like a 4th gen you will need the 92 lines, haven't seen anyone sell those yet.

Re: Engine Oil Cooler?

They only want you to replace the oil cooler to cover their butt's. They think that there could be metal shavings stuck in the sandwich.
Clean it out if you're worried.
Changing the balancer is just a good idea. Not really necessary if it hasn't slipped.

Re: Engine Oil Cooler?

If you are set on replacing the oil cooler, Summit Racing has some nice ones. If you want an original replacement, you could look into Classic Industries or Year One.
