Where and what engine brace to buy?!
Where and what engine brace to buy?!
I'm going to be soon installing my Spohn k-member and since I'll be doing it in my garage with my air tools and huge 3-ton jackstands so the last thing I need are the legs from a cherry-picker in the way under there while holding the engine in place.
Where and what type of engine brace have you guys used for our thirdgens? I'd prefer something that would attach to my strut towers rather than just the inner fender but whatever works.
Links, suggestions?!
Thanks!

If you do not care to spend $60. I used 3 2x4's screwed together. stand them up so the 1.75" side is down. You can cut them to length and support at strut towers. Loop a chain over them and I used the one loop in the front and made a second to use in front as well. I just ran mine from fender to fender dented a little but they are a bit rusty and I have spares going on anyway. It would be possible to support across the towers as well.
It does take 3 however. I tried it with 2 and was uneasy at the noise coming out of them. Supported engine and tranny while doing a rear main replacement. Dropped the K-member from car to get the pan off.
The bar would probably work a bit better, but when are you ever going to use it again?
