92RS runs rough

Hey, new member here with a new-to-us 92 RS. I did a quick search but didn't find a problem quite like mine, so here I go. Ok, we bought a 92 RS, 305, 5 speed with 72320 original miles at the beginning of July. It's the 2nd one we (the wife and I) have owned. It's run great for the last 1200 miles until about 2 weeks ago on my way home from work it started to run like it was only firing on 7. Checked the plugs/wires, no problems there, fuel pressure is fine, no CEL. It idles fine when you start it but when you actually start driving, it runs rough and is SLOW accelerating. On our first RS, the cat went out at about 80000 miles. Since it's been about 11 years ago, I don't remember very clearly if it ran like this or not, I just remember it was low on power till we got the cat replaced. Could this be the problem? A friend suggested it might be the TBI, but I haven't really had time to check it out. Any ideas/suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance.
