Car: 86 berlinetta 92rs gfx
Engine: 4 bolt 384 stroker
Transmission: th350 4000 stall manual/T brake
Axle/Gears: 87 iroc 9 bolt
need some input from those with msd
ok, i have a msd 6a box, hooked up to a msd three stage retard box. msd pro billet distributor and msd wires. mallory coil, auto lite ar135 plugs all new.
my problem is, at WOT under load the engine starts cutting out around 4500rpms. feels/sounds like a rev limiter. i have eliminated the retard box as an issue.
i have set the valve lash multipul times, adjusted the jet sizes, ext ext on the carb, its not a fuel issue or a valve issue.
timing is locked out at 38* degrees advance. no vacum advance. im almost 100% positive this is an igniton issue. im leaning towards the coil as the culprit, but would like some input from anyone with a similar set up that may have had these issues. any pointers would help, thanks

11:1 compression
mech roller at 625 lift 271 261 duration with the correct dual valve springs.
single plane intake victor sr. knock off
holley 4150 750 DP, all rebuilt and proper jetting.
