Need Engine Building Help!

Hello,

I had my rotating assembly balanced and polished. However, I could not get to the build until much later than planned and not there is very light surface rust all over it, and about an eraser size piece of significant rust right on the journal. The light surface rust and heavy spot can easily be polished off with dremel tool or very light sand paper but I did not know if this would hurt the engine. This is my first build and I want to do it right.

Everything I have read states that the journals must be perfect but I find it hard to belive that an eraser sized pit could be bad. However, that is why I am asking the experts.

a bonus question if you so choose. I bought new AFR 180's. What are the best Rocker arms to go with?

Thanks for your help!

Josh

for the rust get some fine grit emery cloth do not use a dremel tool, the emery cloth will get all the rust off your internal parts.
the rockers just depend on your cam shaft application...
ive always used 1.5 ratio rocker and they do the job for me
