TIMING HELP

i have a 1989 camaro with an sbc 350. i know its got a cam but dont know exact specs. has headers 700r4 tranny with shift kit and 2400 to 2800 stall. how can i find out what timing i need on my distributor?? i dont know the exact specs on the cam, but i was told i would probably have to advance timing. any help will be appreciated
