1987 GTA: No "high" speed on blower motor

Lower speeds seem ok, light on pushbutton shows for the highest setting but fan seems to switch off when moving from #2 up to #1 setting...how do I troubleshoot this?

Thanks,

Steve

Are you talking about AC or fan blower(if no AC) if so, they are like $27 at Orielly. I would just replace it. A new one will probably work better and quiter even if you could fix the old one. replace the squirrel wheel while you are in there.

That sofakingdom connection is in excellent condition. The fan does squeak at the lower speeds, so I'll replace the fan and squirrel cage and see what happens.

Stuff a towel or rag beneath the fan motor or you'll lose a screw(s) into the bowels of the engine bay.
