Running rough!! Need help

I have a 91 camaro rs that I have swapped to a vortec carb. The car runs pretty good. The other day I was driviing home from work, and half way home, i realized it was not ideling normall. It normally idles at 1050 rpm. It was down to around 600, and wanting to die at red-lights. I got home and let it sit for a while. I went to crank it up, and it will only stay running if i keep it rev-ed up. Any idea what this could be? Here's a list of everything new on the car:

New vortec heads
Performer Intake
600 cfm edlebrock carb
accel super coil
accel distributor
plugs
plug wires
alternator
water pump
battery
griffen radiator
2 electric fans
fuel pump
fuel pressure regulator

He's running a carb. Whats your fuel pressure running at? Have you tried messing with your idle screws? Another common thing is that your distributor could be loose and it turned clockwise, making your timing too retarded. this has happened to me before. I noticed a loss in power and it would idle at 1500 then drop down to like 600. it almost seemed like the throttle was stuck or something. try that first

I have a regulator set at 3.5 psi, which is what the carb is supposed to be fed. It is a stock replacement on the fuel pump, so I had to use the regulator. I will do some playing with it tonight and see what I can get. I'll let you know tomorrow.

Re: Running rough!! Need help

When I set the idle at around 1050, it just seemed to run real smooth there. It is a stock cam, stock motor, with vortec heads. Nothing special.
