Sea Foam.... Will it unclog fuel lines? Stop Sputtering? Cause Oil leaks?

OK I get it, makes lots of smoke and makes the car run smoother more responsive. I didnt read anywhere about a sputtering problem being solved by the use of this stuff.

Ive done a search re Sea Foam, found nothing. I am hoping to hear from someone saying this stuff works. I know there could be other issues w/ my car but my car has sat alot so I am hoping to hear good news from somebody.

Also worried about it causing oil leaks if pour it into oil fill. Car has L98 around 66K miles but it is 20 yrs old. Will not this break loose self sealed leaks on engine leaving oil leaks everywhere. I did rea about that as being a possibility. Maybe I should just stick to the fuel system.

Chime in and let me know what you think.

everything you have mentioned is possible... it can cause oil leaks like you described

generally i don't believe in using it as a injector cleaner while it could possibly do the job it is petroleum based and the deposits your are trying to remove will also be petroleum based i would think that there would be a better solvent than seafoam...

if you are looking to clean the cylinders water is better bang for the buck being free and all just remove everything before the throttle blades start the car and start misting tons of water into the engine not enough to stall it but enough to make it complain with frequent revs to blow any condensation out of the exhaust

I would not use again if you paid me. I put it in my Harley and it ruined my carb and my brother used it in his monte and it caused his fuel pump to go out so dont put in your fuel tank. hope this helps.
