opinions/suggestions on engine build

Hi everyone
I'm looking for opinions and suggestions on my engine build. I posted this in another area, but maybe it fits better here. Here goes...

This is what I have done so far
400 4 bolt main
stock crank reconditioned
stock rods modified for arp bolts
keith black flat top pistons
dart pro 1 aluminum heads 2.05/1.60
lunati bracket master II cam 300 dur .515 lift
team g intake
summit sfi approved damper

Here is what I need, and needing some suggestions on parts
roller rockers - alum or steel? 1.5 or 1.6?
pushrods - chromemoly worth the money?
carb - looking at a plain double pumper holley or bg- 750 enough?
distributor - mechanical or vaccuum advance? which is better for a street/strip engine?
dougs 1 3/4 primary full length headers

looking to rebuild my 700r4 - along w/ 2500-3000 stall
going in my 91 rs - already rebuilt the rear with auburn posi and 3.73 gears. Thanks in advance - Mark

Either material is fine. as far as rockers go, I prefer steel, but both will put up with hatever you feel like tossing at them, and one metal over the other isn't a large weight difference as most steel rockers are cast much smaller/thinner than their aluminum counterparts.

Short answer: No. Long answer: Depends on how beefy your springs are going to be, but still in all likelihood, no.

750 will be plenty. Holley's website actually recommends less (650-700) until waaaay up in the 6500's, and with your stock guts, you probably wont be visiting that territory too often.

Often times you can find a dizzy that does both. Personally, I prefer vacuum, as it will advance to where the engine wants it to be, and not a degree predetermined by the dizzy itself.
