Head Gaskets Leaking Oil??

I just put my new motor in a month or 2 ago, its a rebuilt 355 with RHS Pro-Torker heads. I have noticed little amounts of oil in several spots where the head meets the block on both sides. I do have oil leaking from the oil cap and the PCV on the pass side, but there both on the back side of the motor and oil is all the way up front. Is it possible that the oil thats running down the back of the heads is finding its way up to the front of the block along that ridge? I just dont want to have to pull this thing apart again. I'll post some pics of the spots either tonight or tommorow morning. Thanks.

There's no oil going through the head gaskets, it's more likely it's leaking from either the valve covers, under heavy braking, or the intake gaskets. There where the end seals meet the actual gaskets. That's right by where the oil drains from the rockers.

Re: Head Gaskets Leaking Oil??

The head gaskets protrude into the lifter valley. And form shelves that hold oil. If they didn't seal to the block and/or the heads oil will seep through them.

However, fix all the other known leaks first. It is possible for the oil to wick along crevices via capillary action.

Thats what I'm in the middle of, it just seems that once I fix one another one shows up. Theres no oil in my coolant and all of my plugs are perfect. So I'll keep trying to plug all the ones that arouse.
