1 piece rear main seal question
so my buddy thats helping me build my new motor decided a while ago to push my new seal into the housing for it while it was off the motor.
i just went and tried to get the bracket and seal to go on together, fought with it for a while and decided that trying to do it that way is retarded.
i figured before i destroy the new seal and pull it out, is there some trick that will make putting it in this way easier? or should i just install the housing first then push the seal on and in....that seams like a way easier way to do it.
i have the thing sitting on the freakin floor and could not get the seal to go on.

Re: 1 piece rear main seal question
Try holding the seal and housing off to one side slightly so both edges of the seal clear the crank. Then push it the other way to get the other side on. Should work like that. Its the inner lip of the seal thats causing you issues. Anything you can do to get the inner lip to clear the crank without damaging the seal (like using a toothpick, metal pick, etc) it'll slide right on once its past that inner lip.
