mystery hose
So i noticed my idle has been high lately and ive been looking for something to be causing this. i noticed the black little inlet between the runners is missing a hose. whats suppose to go there and can this be the solution to my problem? i can feel it sucking in air also

Re: mystery hose
If it's on the driver side between the runners, there should be a vacuum line going to the PCV valve. And yes, with that unplugged your car will idle high.

Re: mystery hose
How does the vacuum line go to the pcv valve? i see how the pcv valve has the hose running to the bottom intake. but the valve for the vacuum is just sitting on top of the plenum

This might help, it's a pic of my engine bay. You can see the PCV valve and vacuum line on the driver side valve cover:

Re: mystery hose
ok i see it now. thanks. but also the bolt between the runners has a little valve too. is it suppose to be there or is it suppose to be just a bolt? i can actually feel air being sucked from there too.
