Another "Won't start" (2.8 MPFI)
I have an '85 baseline Camaro with a 2.8l MPFI, battery is brand new, and the engine cranks, it started with starter fluid (Yes its bad for the injectors I know, but it rules out electric vs. fuel problem, hence I only did it once to narrow the problem down).
So I replaced the fuel filter, and it still won't start, I know the pump runs because I hear it comes on, and it puts gas down the line, so then I checked to see if the gas was making it to the engine bay, and it is making it all the way to the intermittent hose in the engine bay, and the steel line on the other side of the hose looks much better than what the gas has to go through before it, so I see no reason for it to be that...
Till recently it wouldn't start to fire, would just crank, now it seems like its starting to fire, but will only do so as long as I keep it cranking, but it won't catch and stops when I let off the ignition, I think it's the battery running low from all my attempts and the starter doesn't have the juice to turn it fast enough(seems to be slowing down I think), but in case its not I need some suggestions here....Going to juice the battery in meanwhile.
