87 305 TPI stuttering and hesitating
87 305 TPI stuttering and hesitating
So my 87 305 TPI 4 speed started to hesitate and sputter the other day. In the past few month I have replaced the rotor and cap, plugs, wires, oxygen sensor, icm, fixed my a/c, replace water pump and a few more items that I am forgetting to mention. The car is doing this in any gear. It feels like it is getting enough fuel, so I haven't checked the fuel system. I may go ahead and change out the fuel filter tomorrow. Anyway yesterday I changed the IAC, TPS and the PCV. I am wondering if maybe it could be the MAF. Any suggestion on how to check if it is going bad, or if it is the wrong route to go. I am lost again, and could use any help. Another symptom that I found is the volt meter is bounching up and down quite a bit. It isn't a crazy bounce, just a very little bounce, enough to notice. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hey man, check your fuel injectors! THey go bad very often on our cars. It also may not show up on your code scanner! I just replaced my injectors too. Car had a slight miss, down on power and sometimes stalled out in traffic.LOL Couldn't figure it out for the longest time. Anyway, get a multi meter and set it to test for ohms. Set your meter at 2K setting and pull the injector harness off of each injector. Test the two pins on each injector with your positive and negative test leads from your meter. Your injectors should be around 0.013-0.017 or so. If you find one that is like 0.003 then it is dead! THey should all be very close to one another. Let me know if you need help. If they are bad check out this link https://www.thirdgen.org/injectorswap Check your 02 sensor too. Should be on the driver's side. I found mine loose once and the car gave me similar symptoms to yours. It could be anything to tell you the truth. Check for codes.
