Catalytic Converter Problem
Among all the problems that need to be taken care of in my T/A today I found out that my cat has a major air leak.
I was wondering what kind of problems it would bring me...and if this would be the cause of my car stalling and shutting off.
And another question.....where does that pipe coming out of the cat go to?
Any help would be very appreciated.

Re: Catalytic Converter Problem
The pipe coming out of the cat connects to the A I R system.
Emissions in your area will determine the need for the cat.
As far as your issue, I wouldn't think a hole in the cat is causing it, unless maybe the cat is clogged, and thus burnt a hole because of the clog.
