FIIREBIRD TBI flames

When driving the car jumps extremely bad misfires shoots flames out of the throttlebody when coming out of a dead stop could this be timing? im stumped. ive changed plugs plug wires cap and rotor i have atemted to losen the distributor to ajust the timing but i cant seem to get anything on the bolt that is strong enough to loosen it i cannot get a socket on it because of the plate under the dist cap. please help

You're wiring is off - you need to double check your firing order on the plug wires, and also check the continuity on each wire to make sure there's no shorts in them - brand new wires often have shorts. To get the distributor bolt, go spend $10 on a distributor wrench. And timing has to be adjusted with the EST wire disconnected before the car is started.

This definitely sounds like a timing issue.
