Can an 89 Trans Am GTA with a 305/5.0 have TBI from the factory?
Im interested in this chip from Summit :

It is perfect for what I need it for but it does not say if its for a TBI or TPI i didnt know if a 89 Trans AM GTA from GM came with the 305 TBI. Thanks.

No, if its a GTA it had TPI from the factory.

I believe that's correct. Base engine in the GTA was TPI (TBI engine not available in that model). Base engine in the standard T/A and Formula was the 305 TBI with various TPI engines available as optional upgrades.
