Shop to do Ls1 conversion?

I didnt see a place to put this so I figured i could ask here.

Im wondering if there are any shops in the mid south that anyone can recomend for a Ls1/6speed swap. Really just looking for a price and wondering if it will be cheaper to get a ls1 car.

In my humble opinion? Just get an LS1 car.. You can pick up LS1 Firebirds in decent shape for a bit more than $6,000. There are very low mileage 'birds for under $10,000, practically new. Most LS1 Camaros are even cheaper, but with higher mileage.

Re: Shop to do Ls1 conversion?

yea for around $10000-12000 It seems i can get a 6 speed car with a around 50-75k on it. Found one that looks almost like just rolled off the showroom floor with 25k on it for $15000!!!
I really like the fact that when i drive my 3rd gen gta its always the only one on the road. I was thinking i might could find a wrecked ls1 car and just have someone swap EVERYTHING. But from doing more research it looks like a wrecked car thats got good drivetrain will run around $3000-4500. Then swap parts will be over $2000, plus labor. So I will be up to $10000 and not even have it painted yet.....

Yeah, last I checked, Hawks and Speed Inc were in the ball park of $17,000 and I agree that it isn't worth it. Just my opinion though.
