Steering Box Leak, Questions
My steering box is leaking and it seems to be coming from the seal above the pitman arm. How hard of a project is this going to be? About how long should it take to fix doing it on the car? Also, if this is the only seal that is leaking, is just removing the pitman arm, pulling old seal out and putting the new one in, all that I have to do? Thanks.

It's not that bad, but you need a 1 5/16" socket, snap ring pliers, and a pitman arm puller. Once you get the arm off, remove the snap ring, put a bucket under it, start the engine and turn the wheel hard against the stop. The seal will pop out. Best to mark the pitman arm and shaft first for realignment.

So it should be possible to have it finished in under an hour or two?
