Exhaust still smokes after shutdown
After I turn the car off there is smoke coming from the exhaust tip for about 15 seconds...it's almost like there's oil residue in the exhaust pipes burning or oil burning somewhere...it goes through about a quart every 1500 miles wich I was told was fine...87 GTA w/ a 350TPI...any ideas on why it still smokes after turning the car off?

Re: Exhaust still smokes after shutdown
More than likely its just the rest of the exhaust gas escaping thru the rest of the exhaust.
I agree, a quart of oil in 1500 miles is nothing to sneeze at. Are you sure you are burning oil and not leaking it?
