I have some fast burn heads on order and I already have the LT4 Hot Cam. I'm going to find some 1.6 rockers to go with it and upgrade to either SuperRam or First TPI injection (haven't finished my research)

Question is, is there any strong recommendations against adding this to a stock L98 shortblock out of a 88 vette? The above parts make up the zz430 but with a zz4 shortblock. I figured if my shortblock checks well on a leak down test, it should be similar build to the zz430.

If it helps, I plan on using this as a weekend street vehicle (no track days) and possibly commuting a few days a week, 35 miles round trip.

I say go for it. Any SBC in good health will stand up to the top end you have planned for it.

 

i built a similiar engine combo. l98 stock bottom with hsr, vortecs and 1.6 rr. it was a great engine.

 

I am about to do the same with fastburn heads and CC502 cam and headers 1.5 or 1.6 rockers . I already have an HSR. Did you dyno that thing?
