Does compcam 853-16 work in -90 roller block?

As topic can I use 853-16 roller lifter in a orginal. roller block -90 1pc seal?

Compcam writes: These lifters are for use with all series of Comp Cams hydraulic roller cams or as performance replacements for stock hydraulic roller lifters. Make sure the lifter is correct for the block used.

No, those are the wrong ones. Those are for a retro-fit applications for engines that came WITHOUT a roller cam, 86 and earlier.

You need 875-16 lifters. "Small Block 305 & 350. For use in blocks originally equipped with hydraulic roller cam ('87 to present)".

It's a good idea to always call the company when making these kinds of choices. Comp's # is 1-800-999-0853.
