Well, my pushrod o-rings are bad.
That was the suggestion the guy at the DMV inspection station gave to me when my car failed emissions because of "smoke at high idle."
I gave him a worried look and said, "Gee, my mechanic didn't mention anything about that when he replaced my piston-return springs and topped off my blinker fluid."
On a serious note, the distributor cap is in a much dire need of replacement. The prongs look like they were made of metal pulled from the Titanic.

you mean the reluctor is corroded? it's common, all the OEM distributors have that.

Just be glad you're not working on a Chrysler engine. http://www.stupidvideos.com/video/Ch.../?m=new#280794
Re: Well, my pushrod o-rings are bad.
Your bigger problem is that you didn't use synthetic blinker fluid. That was pretty lax of you.
There's probably a reason that person is working at the DMV. I wonder...
P.S. That just about explains the "why" in Chrysler transmissions.

The funny thing is that the next "tech" in the inspection line popped my hood, noticed the shiny water neck and air cleaner, and told me he wanted my engine to put in his Monte Carlo.
I told him $300 and he can have it. He didn't bite.
