Oil pan removal using no shop lift, how hard is it?
So i built my new motor and now the oil pan gasket is leaking badly. Throwing out the chrome pan and bought a Morso OEM replacment pan. Going to start on it this weekend, but since I cant use my shop hoist, I have to do it at home on my back. How much of a PITA will it be? Im guessing ill have to undo at least 1 motor mount and jack the motor up for removal?

Going to be a little bit of a pain since you'll need to remove the jack to get the oil pan out.
Will have to support the engine somehow. Maybe blocks of wood on the mounting brackets?

I think im going to use my cherry picker to keep the engine up so that I have nothing in my way underneath.

Its not really a hard job, pretty straight forward. I pulled both motor mount bolts and put blocks of wood in between them. I think I may have removed the dist cap also..IIRC
